Proposal for eco-museum and museum area in Alta Irpinia

The idea of a proposed eco-museum and a museum of the territory in my homeland, Alta Irpinia, the eastern outskirts of the Campania Region, has matured in the wake of meetings planned by the European Master's in management and conservation of archaeological and historical-artistic at the University of Siena, with various teachers, but especially with the dott.sa Sandra Becucci director of the Museum of Wood and Sharecropping in Orgy (Sovicelle) and the Museum of Landscape in Castelnuovo Berardenga (province of Siena).

Understanding the value of its territory can be a good flying to start.

would be important that attention also grow by administrators and technicians to local property aspects, not only for a short-term economic impact related to tourism, but also in improving the quality of life for residents and for the strengthening of local peculiarities.

According to the international definition, the Eco-museum is "a cultural institution to be responsible on a permanent basis, a defined territory and with the participation of the population, the functions research, conservation, development of a set of natural and cultural assets, representing an environment and way of life that have taken place there. "

The Eco-museum is a mirror in which people watching, to recognize where to look for the explanation of the territory which is linked, as well as that of the people that have preceded it. is also a case study or open-air museum, a school or a better center of continuing education for residents and guests.

The Eco-museum is essentially a museum that deals with the study and conservation of the environment as a whole, understood as both natural and cultural environment: it is a museum of man and nature, in which man is interpreted in its natural environment and nature in its wild state it is, but also as a traditional society and the industrial society have adapted to their uses.

The eco-museum takes into account all the evidence without any particular privileges.
therefore study the landscape, sites, buildings, monuments, objects and oral testimonies, visual and written. The eco-museum is an outdoor museum that includes the entire territory.

E 'consists of a number of locations in the community, which has a headquarters and routes across the territory, which highlight the special aspects.

The conditions for the realization of this project are based on the links that the local community maintains with its territory and its history.

Ecomuseum as defined IRES, which is a pact with the local community agrees to take care of the land and preserve their traditions.
