For Soundscape, translation English soundscape means, in the words of the composer Canadian Raymond Murray Schafer who first coined the phrase, "any field of study acoustic [...], a musical composition, a radio program or environment."

And if they were the sounds, and images, the best way to tell the story? I believe, and put it into practice every day gathering, recording and storing sound "dirty" or "clean" in parks, cities, towns, and the scholars of the auditory cultures with their soundscape research as in progress in Sicily for many years.

"The Soundscape - Zorzanello tells Stefano in Turin for a seminar devoted to these studies, but usually engaged in 'mapping' sound of Catania - was defined as an unfinished symphony of form and without which we are both composers, performers and listeners.
But today this 'symphony' is likely to be largely covered by the same noise in all cities, like the sound of engines, cooling systems, electrical networks, etc. and you can not listen to that small portions, very precise and localized.

" Once a mark has been identified sound - Schafer argues, the 'Master' sounds of the hunters around the world - deserves to be protected, because it makes life unique acoustics of a community and explains the character of people who live there " .

"collect and preserve the sounds - according
Peppino Ortoleva historian - is a trend linked to the awareness that these 'sonic landscapes' may disappear.
And as we go side by side today, especially in the Anglo-Saxon world and in France, a new historiography of the environments sound, such as noise that tells the time of Shakespeare, nineteenth century America or the Villages of France ".

No matter how clean or technology is the sound picked up, but - just like photographers - how can tell and evoke, returning atmosphere that we thought lost.
